My name is Georgia, and I am the creator, baker and unwilling dishwasher behind The Odd Crumb.

What started as baking in lockdown just for fun has somehow turned into a business I never dreamed of starting — but now couldn’t imagine my life without. Since then, I’ve baked three-tier wedding cakes, a cake for a 102nd birthday, a celebration of life cake, and so many others, all from my home kitchen.

There’s something pretty incredible about creating a cake that not only looks good, but tastes bloody amazing too. I love the whole process — from coming up with the ideas and figuring out the little details, to seeing it all come together and knowing that the cake is going to be part of someone’s special day.

My favourite cakes are the ones that feel like art. That feeling when it’s finished and I can look at it and think, “I did that!” is like nothing else.
